As a UX Writer at Google I write clear, friendly text to guide users through account creation, onboarding, sign-in, biometric authentication, payments, new feature launches, security, location sharing, and more. I avoid technical language to speak to users in terms that are relevant and understandable.
Notable projects
Overhaul and simplification of one of Google’s staple apps. Worked with designers to highlight and rename most used features to reduce number of clicks and layers in. Revised messaging and entry points, clarified menus and controls for users, and incorporated research findings in redesigns, leading to higher user satisfaction rates.
Worked with team to build a scalable supervision and parental controls library to be used in new device onboarding. Guided users through complex chaptering and handoff moments between parent and child, with distinct and simple language for each audience. Collaborated with partners to bring cohesive experiences across multiple existing products in the Google ecosystem.
Provided writing guidance for a project focused on bringing STEM to young girls. Vetted language for age-appropriateness and technical accuracy.
